Our Daily Rhythm at Tender Roots

This is a sample of our daily schedule, activities and times may vary day-to-day based on extreme weather conditions or student’s interests. We try to follow a flexible daily rhythm, rather than a strict time schedule, so kids have plenty of time to spend on the tasks that excite them.

  • 9:00 – Arrival, free play

  • 9:30 – Circle time: song, calendar, weather, group discussion

  • 10:00 – Read-aloud from a living book / group lesson

  • 10:30 – Outdoor play / nature walk / outdoor art project

  • 12:00 – Lunch: prayer of thanks, real conversation, table habits

  • 12:30 – Child-led free play / dramatic play / building

  • 1:30 – Sensory play / art

  • 2:00 – Outdoor play / nature study

  • 2:45 – Closing circle, tidy-up habits, goodbye song
